I think it says a lot about a product if I’ve actually used it all up. So why not share my own opinions on the internet? Here is what I am sure will be some kind of series: empties!

The Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion was an item that I received in some sort of bundle. I don’t know what happened to the other items but this one stuck around until it ran out. I used this as a moisturizer and after not using it for a while I’ve noticed a change in my skin. I am going to try another moisturizer for now but if my skin does not get better I am definitely going back to this bad boy.

Oh the Benefit Porefessional. How many people have raved about this and how many times have I talked about it. Yes, have already repurchased. This is my holy grail primer. I feel like I should try other ones just to compare but I just love this one. They even have baby samples so you can try it without committing, but trust me you’re going to want to commit.

I ran out of the Too Faced Shadow Insurance awhile back and have been using a different one. I am all for trying new things but I know someday soon I am going to revert back to this product. I have not been able to find the long-lasting power this product has in any other primers I have tried. It really makes your eyeshadow last all day, which is what I look for in primers.

This is the Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer and it is just heaven. This was another one that I bought, I think even before this product ran out. It just works so well as a concealer. It’s not too heavy and it does the job that it is supposed to do excellently. Also, as a drugstore product you seriously can’t go wrong. I am turning into a Rimmel fanatic.

Hello Stila, we meet again. Another product heavily discussed here on MissEmilyMarie. I love this product, I will always love this product. I have not repurchased this but when I do I think it is going to be in a different color. I think I have replaced this with another liner as my favorite black liquid liner, but this is still fantastic. I’m thinking of picking this up in Navy, any thoughts?

I have never used a setting spray before this one but now I feel strange without it. This is the Urban Decay de-slick spray. I can tell that this product makes my makeup last longer. There are days I’ve forgotten this and instantly regretted it when I walked out the door. It is very light and it just feels nicer to spray on your face. Also, this really helps mattify your face.

Day 1: Philadelphia

Day 1: Philadelphia

Hello lovely people of the internet!

I am on a 10 day vacation with Mama Marie as we speak. In an ideal world I want to write about it here nearly everyday, along with my regular-ish Saturday posts. I just thought I would let you all know and hope that you enjoy!

Philadelphia was a city that I didn’t think much about. I just thought oh okay this is where we are starting our trip that’s cool. We can see the Liberty Bell and all that jazzy history stuff.

I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love with a city so quickly. It has the friendliest people, beautiful architecture, a calm atmosphere, and everything I could ever dream about having in one city. I never used to give Philly a second glance but in all honesty I can see myself living here someday, let’s see if I say this in every city.

June Favorites!

June Favorites!

It is that time again! These monthly favorites just creep up so quickly. So, here are my top 5 products from June 2014.

I don’t talk about skin care very often but this has been my holy grail product for a few months. This is the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser. I really love this product. It feels great on your face and does exactly what it is supposed to. I also like the texture of the product a lot. It is different from your normal cleanser. If you are looking for an excellent cleanser to try out I would definitely suggest this one. You get a lot for only $20!

I do not exactly remember why I first started using this It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-in plus Keratin, a recommendation out of nowhere. But a few days after purchasing this one, I received a free (very generous-sized) one from Ulta. I love this because it makes your hair look and feel great. It is awesome as a detangler and it truly is a 10 in 1 product, some things more than others, but it still works. It doesn’t feel heavy in your hair, which is something that makes this product so attractive.

I will be the first to admit that I am absolutely terrible when it comes to dealing with my brows. I know that they can make or break a face but I just get so discouraged because I find it difficult. But then I bought the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Granite. This product is amazing. I don’t know what it is about it but I finally feel like I am able to manage my brows!

I realize that I have only recently bought this but you will understand once you use this product. The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is the most precise liquid liner that you will ever use. It does not have a felt tip like the Stila one, but that is what makes it almost equal if not better. If you’re terrible at wings like me, this product practically guides you. Seriously, the precision from the brush on this bad boy makes it worth the price.

This a mini Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara I got in a Tarte kit this last month. I am not that big of a mascara buff but I truly fell in love with this the first time I used it. It does not clump on me, which is a problem I usually have. It makes my lashes look so natural and so great. I have never fallen in love with a mascara like I have with this one, so I will be purchasing the full size after this one is used up.

This may have been one of the best months for beauty discoveries. Lots of now holy grail products that I will use for a long time! What are your findings of the month? xx Emily

A Blogger Made ME!

A Blogger Made ME!

Hello lovelies!

Being on the internet the majority of the day leads to seeing what other people recommend, particularly in the beauty/fashion community as I read quite a few blogs and watch a lot of videos. There are some people that once they say something is good, I immediately jump on whatever they are talking about. Seriously, marketing people should get them on their teams. One of my all time favorite beauty bloggers and vloggers is EssieButton, or Estée. The majority of the time she suggests something, I hop on that  bandwagon. But for real, the recommendations she has are fantastic and I just have no words. Check her out. While I was in Sephora today, I decided to pick up two recommendations from my her!

photo 2-5

The first is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. I have been a hardcore Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner fan before it became a cult favorite. So to hear Estée talk about this liner in her June Favorites and that she likes it more than Stila I had to give it a whirl. I have only used it once so I am refraining my opinion for now but so far it seems to do all the tricks I need!

The second purchase I made was the Soap & Glory The Righteous Body Butter. I am slowly falling in love with Soap & Glory but I have not used many of their products. I think it is going to be a slow build up until I become a S&G fanatic. Estée does these awesome brand focus videos where she basically talks about the brand itself and products she enjoys from it. But like I said the way she talks about products makes me want to try them all!

I am now realizing that this has basically turned into an EssieButton appreciation post and I am 110% okay with that. In fact, I read her blog post like this and thought girl, a lot of what I buy is based on your recommendation! I have to write this just on your production suggestions. Seriously, I’d love to just go shopping with her and have her help a girl out. There have been many more EssieButton inspired purchases but I thought I’d focus on the latest purchase!
