21 things I’ve learned before turning 21:

1) that you don’t have to be the one to move on a sidewalk.
2) that some bruises are bigger but others have more pain.
3) that you’re not going to keep in touch with a lot of high school friends, and that’s okay.
4) wear what you like no matter what others say.
5) save your quarters, you’ll desperately need them to do laundry.
6) that a little nostalgia never hurt anyone.
7) that even in the darkest times, you’ll find it in yourself to turn on the light.
8) that there is no good in letting others negativity affect you.
9) cut out all toxic people, you’ll be much happier.
10) that it is so important to be yourself and to have your own opinions.
11) that it is okay to spend all day on the Internet, just not everyday.
12) that it does no good to bring others down.
13) that sometimes it’s okay to splurge on yourself or the people closest to you.
14) most everything is okay in moderation.
15) that sometimes not doing what you’re supposed to is the only option.
16) that people will have different opinions than you and express them strongly.
17) that a cup of a coffee is usually the best answer.
18) that sometimes the worst days are actually the best, especially for learning.
19) that the solution to most pain is time.
20) that keeping little spaces organized will then lead to an organized life.
21) that some people are irritating, but you should always be kind.

October Favorites!

October Favorites!

Hello Lovelies!

November is finally upon us! It is my favorite month, though I may be biased because it is my birthday on the 23rd, turnin’ 21 y’all! I also love building up the anticipation for Christmas, I think I may like the anticipation more than the actual event, but that’s just me! The first snowfall always makes me happy and I always long for a White Christmas, but after that it can melt! Never does though, damn Wisconsin. BUT lets dive into the things that I’ve obsessed over last month!

The Body Shop Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator

As you can all probably tell, I’ve gone a little nuts over the Body Shop recently, whoops! I think that is because I have yet to try a product that I don’t really like. I’m awful when it comes to skin care, and even more awful when it comes to exfoliating. But I love how this makes my skin feel (it is so soft!) and how it makes my skin look.

L’oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup in Nude Beige

Upon trying this product, I realized that I have never actually tried anything from L’oreal before. But I absolutely love this foundation. It has such a great build able coverage but also your skin still feels and looks like skin, which is what I, personally, want in a foundation. The other great thing about this is that there are so many options.

Paul Mitchell Express Style Fast Form

I don’t talk about hair much on here but that is because I’m still trying to figure it out, good lord do I struggle. But I also have really thick hair that takes literally all day to dry. The last time I want to get a haircut, the hairdresser recommended this to me and it is worth it. Basically what it does is make your hair dry faster which is a miracle product, in my eyes.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Limitless

When I first got the Tarte collectors set I knew I’d fall in love, and that I did. I immediately blogged about it: see here. My next two favorites come from it. I think that this blush is perfect for fall/winter because it has this peachy rose shade that looks like you’ve just been kissed by the cold. You hardly need to touch your brush to the plus because it has that much pigment, totally worth it!

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose Tarte Marcuja Lipgloss in Nice

I don’t know about you, but once there is the slightest gust of cold air my lips immediately get dry and start to crack. I love many lip balms but this ha sheen my favorite of October. It provides so much moisture, with a really nice color tint. I like a little bit of a lip gloss look and have found that the two of these go together wonderfully.

I hope you are having a great start to November, and if not remember that you can always turn it around! You are in control and you 110% got this! Thanks lovely people of the internet!
