Valentine’s Day \\ The Look

Valentine’s Day \\ The Look

Ah, the best day of the year for single people – Valentine’s Day.

To me, this has and always will be a Hallmark holiday that I do not care to celebrate whether or not I have a boyfriend. Thought I’d do a little tutorial for all the non-believers/Valentine’s lovers. I’ll be waiting for the candy sale on the 15th.

Here’s my 10 step tutorial for V-Day.

First Impression: Elf Liquid Eyeshadow

Hello Lovelies!

I was browsing in a different Target the other day and I came across new Elf products! They had a bunch of their aqua products, and me being me, I knew I wanted to try out their eyeshadow. I thought I’d do a first impression and wear it all day with final thoughts!

Enjoy!

img_8281

The full name of this is aqua beauty molten liquid eyeshadow and I got in the shade rose gold. When I first applied it, I used my finger to blend it out and was unimpressed. However, I then decided to give it another shot and used my MAC 217 brush and fell in love. It’s a gorgeous wash of color and super easy to wear. I applied it around 12pm, worked out and sweated my ass off around 6pm and it was still fully intact! It lasted all damn day and I’m obsessed. I might have to try out a couple of other colors.

I really, really liked this. Plus it was only 4 dollars and that seems like a steal to me! I might have to try out a few of the other products from the aqua range. Have you tried anything from it?

Snow White: Disney Bound!

Snow White: Disney Bound!

IMG_5122

During my time in London, I was lucky enough to go to Disneyland Paris! My friend and I decided that we were going to Disney bound as Snow White and Dopey. I was Snow White! Disney Bounding is when you dress like a character from a film in normal everyday clothes. I thought I’d share the details of what I wore that day and what makeup I used.Alice (in Wonderland) said that I looked like Snow White so that was pretty cool. Snow White recognized me during the parade and her eyes lit up!

The Makeup –

Skin as white as snow: L’Oreal Infallible Foundation in Rose Beige, Tarte Concealer in Light, Tarte CC in Light Neutral, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, & Tanya Burr Blush Palette on the APPLES of my cheeks

LORAC Pro Palette in Light Bronze, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Black & LORAC Pro Mascara

Lips as red as blood: Rimmel Lip Liner & Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Underage Red

The Outfit –

Red Cami, Blue Cardigan and Yellow Skirt – All Forever 21, Tights – Primark & Black Tennies – Keds

Hair as black as Ebony: My Own + Red Bow – Claire’s

I hope that you all enjoyed that! I would really like to do more Disney bound blog posts & even Disney inspired makeup looks! So keep an eye out for that. If you went to Disney, who would you want to bound as?

An Introduction

An Introduction

Hello! My name is Emily and I used to post frequently on here. What happened? A crazy final year of school. I did not make time for my blog like I used to. I truly miss it. I’m still crazy about beauty and I miss sharing it with you all. So! Now that I’ve officially graduated, I’ve decided to kickstart my blog again. I’m going to try to post once per week but as always there might be more there might be less. To any readers still here from before- hello! I’ve missed you. Lets give this a shot once more!

Influenster!

Influenster!

Two posts in one week? My goodness what is this. I was kindly sent this box of goodies from influenster and now I’m here to review them all. From least favorite to most! I hope you enjoy 🙂

Kettle Brand Jalepeño Potato Chips

I liked these, I really did. I’m just such a wimp when it comes to spice that I could only eat about 3 at a time. They are a delicious snack and I love the crisp they have. I would definitely try another kind.

Luden’s Green Apple Throat Drops

I have a weird thing about throat drops. Whenever someone I know is having one, especially cherry, I steer clear. Luckily, these aren’t super mediciney smelling. Plus the taste is not that bad. I haven’t had a sore throat between the time I got this and now, so I can’t attest to that but I’m sure it’d do the job!

SinfulColors SinfulShine Nail Polish Top Coat & Picante

This is such a pretty color for the summer and I definitely will wear this next summer, right now I’m obsessed with dark nails. I love how affordable this brand is and I’m super pumped they threw in the top coat as well.

Red Vines

What the hell cant they do? (Does anyone get that reference? Please someone do.) I love these. I’ve loved these for years. It is one of the most unique tasting licorices and its just so damn good. I’m trying not to eat all of them at once.

Olay Active Bonticals Refreshing Gel Cleanser

Send the beauty blogger a beauty item and of course it’s at the top of her list. For real though, I’ve been looking for a cleanser because I’ve just felt like my old ones weren’t doing anything anymore. I absolutely love this and it has made its way into my everyday skincare.

There we have it! Lots of love to Influenster for sending me this lovely homecoming package. It feels like something my mom would send, which is just so great.

Keep Being You!
I received these products complimentary for reviewing purposes.

All About that Base

All About that Base

Hello! Sorry about the missed post last week, school has been a bit more hectic then I thought it would be. Please bear with me this semester, as it is my last in the states! Next semester I’ll be in London then I’ll graduate! Ahhhh, scary.

As previously mentioned, I’m writing posts on products that would’ve been in my favorites. This post is focusing on 2 bases: a face base and an eyeshadow base! Enjoy!

Nars Eyeshadow Base

This is a beauty blogger/vlogger favorite that is talked about a lot. I always wanted to give it a go seeing as I have super oily eyelids- weird thing to say. Previously, I was using Too Faced Shadow Insurance, but for some reason it just stopped working for me. This stuff is like glue. My eyeshadow and eyeliner stays put all day and there is no creasing! I put this on a few steps before I apply my eye makeup so that it gets a bit tacky, which I think helps the eye shadow stick. This is seriously the best base for those that want long lasting eye makeup. It is worth the splurge.

Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation in 4 Fair

Another fan favorite that is mentioned quite often in the blog world is this. Oh my god, can I see why. There is something about this foundation that makes it look like your skin, but better. There is a light-medium coverage, but that way it looks so natural and so pretty. I seriously feel like I’m glowing when I wear this, and in a good way. I have oily skin and this foundation completely works for me. I don’t think that I could praise this stuff enough. Plus if you buy it online they send you a mini packet of the shade above and below the one you bought so you can ensure the correct color match. Seriously, check it out.

There we are! I hope that you enjoyed this post. I am going to try my best to keep up with my blog posts but, as previously mentioned, this semester is jam packed. So please bear with me! I want to know how you are doing, let me know with a comment below or tweet me @missemily_marie!
