May Favorites!

Your favorite inconsistent blogger here back with a niche favorites. Honestly, they are the best posts to write and the main reason I’m writing this is because one of the products blew me away, and I was not expecting it. So! Let’s get into it.

Cover FX Calming Primer

My skin has done a complete 180 in the last few years. It has gone from incredibly oily to now dry, and often red. I picked this up for a pretty penny on a whim at Sephora and I’m really happy that I did. It’s a great primer that is true to its name in that it calms my skin. It is the perfect first step to your makeup routine and I can’t recommend it enough.

LORAC Pirates of the Caribbean Cheek Palette

If you guys didn’t know from my blog name, I’m a huge Disney fan. I’m also a huge makeup fan, obviously. So combine the two and what do you get? An empty wallet. I love this cheek palette and the fact that it combines highlighters, a blush and a bronzer. I’m going to New York later this summer and I will definitely be bringing this with me. I also might have already ordered the Beauty and the Beast eye shadow palette.. first impression anyone?

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Enchanted Dream Eye Shadow Palette

I placed a Feel Unique order a few weeks ago as I missed some London essentials, and decided to add this in my cart. I’ve always wanted to try her eye shadows as I’m such a big fan of the cheek palette. I’m really happy I did. The quality is amazing for the price. When I’m just running out the door/don’t want anything to fancy I just put Cocoa Plum all over my lid and call it a day. It looks really pretty on its own or mixed with the colors in the palette.

Maybelline Master Fix Setting Spray

This something I picked up after I had run out of my Milani spray- they don’t sell it in my local shops 😦 I’m glad I tried this one though because I do like it a lot and it’s almost empty. When I use a setting spray, I like to feel it spray on my face. Maybe that’s weird? This does that and I think it does a damn good job of making my makeup last longer. I feel incomplete when I don’t finish my makeup with a spritz of a setting spray.

EcoTools Makeup Brush Shampoo

You haven’t blogged in 3 months and you’re putting a brush shampoo in your favorites? Listen, the first time I used this I had little to no expectations. I followed the directions on the back of the bottle and let my brushes dry. When I picked them up the next day to use them, I was absolutely blown away. Not only were they squeaky clean, they were also as soft as the day I bought them. This is something that now sits on my bathroom counter because it is that good.

That’s a wrap for now folks! I promise I’ll try to blog more. I’m going to a Once Upon a Time event this weekend and I’m Disney bounding each day so maybe I’ll do a post with how to get the looks. That could be fun. Tell me- what were your May favorites and what do I need to try?

First Impression: Elf Liquid Eyeshadow

Hello Lovelies!

I was browsing in a different Target the other day and I came across new Elf products! They had a bunch of their aqua products, and me being me, I knew I wanted to try out their eyeshadow. I thought I’d do a first impression and wear it all day with final thoughts!

The full name of this is aqua beauty molten liquid eyeshadow and I got in the shade rose gold. When I first applied it, I used my finger to blend it out and was unimpressed. However, I then decided to give it another shot and used my MAC 217 brush and fell in love. It’s a gorgeous wash of color and super easy to wear. I applied it around 12pm, worked out and sweated my ass off around 6pm and it was still fully intact! It lasted all damn day and I’m obsessed. I might have to try out a couple of other colors.

I really, really liked this. Plus it was only 4 dollars and that seems like a steal to me! I might have to try out a few of the other products from the aqua range. Have you tried anything from it?

Snow White: Disney Bound!

Snow White: Disney Bound!

During my time in London, I was lucky enough to go to Disneyland Paris! My friend and I decided that we were going to Disney bound as Snow White and Dopey. I was Snow White! Disney Bounding is when you dress like a character from a film in normal everyday clothes. I thought I’d share the details of what I wore that day and what makeup I used.Alice (in Wonderland) said that I looked like Snow White so that was pretty cool. Snow White recognized me during the parade and her eyes lit up!

Skin as white as snow: L’Oreal Infallible Foundation in Rose Beige, Tarte Concealer in Light, Tarte CC in Light Neutral, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, & Tanya Burr Blush Palette on the APPLES of my cheeks

Lips as red as blood: Rimmel Lip Liner & Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Underage Red

The Outfit –

I hope that you all enjoyed that! I would really like to do more Disney bound blog posts & even Disney inspired makeup looks! So keep an eye out for that. If you went to Disney, who would you want to bound as?

An Introduction

Hello! My name is Emily and I used to post frequently on here. What happened? A crazy final year of school. I did not make time for my blog like I used to. I truly miss it. I’m going to try to post once per week but as always there might be more there might be less. To any readers still here from before- hello! I’ve missed you. Lets give this a shot once more!

It is no secret that I love theatre. I adore going to musicals and plays, and I was actually in a few in high school. I still love going to the shows that my high school put on so I was excited that I could make the one this past weekend. The show was Big Fish and the cast was incredible, seriously, how are they high schoolers? I thought I’d show you what I put on my face to attend this show!

WhatsIn: My Bag!

WhatsIn: My Bag!

Today I thought I would do a little post of what’s in my purse. Or in my case, my top 5 lip products of the moment! I have quite a little bag, but man is it easy to shove lip products in. I hope you enjoy 🙂

First, a short sad tale. I had to take our family dog to the vet today, nothing out of the ordinary, no worries, and I was trying to wrangle her out of the car, my entire purse contents dumped out. So, I’m trying to watch her to make sure she doesn’t go into traffic and collect my belongings, however; I ended up leaving my mini Marc Jacobs Lust for Lacquer in Kissability somewhere on the ground. I am so, so sad as it was becoming one of my favorites. C’est la vie, I suppose!

November Favorites!

November Favorites!

Hello There!

Took a little bit of a break, didn’t I? Oops… so sorry about that! Alas it is the week before finals, and that is where all my energy is going, totally not just marathoning Once Upon a Time on Netflix. That should be one of my favorites, I’m obsessed. So, this is later than I would’ve liked but I’ve just been so damn busy, but I guess that’s the college life. It feels great to write like me rather than super academic-y.

Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Deep

I am just going to come right out and say that this is a miracle product for me. I have really sparse eyebrows in places, and this just fills them right in. This always works with what ever eyebrow product is put under it. All around great product.

Urban Decay All Nighter Eyeliner

I am always on the search of an eyeliner for my waterline. After my Smashbox one repeatedly breaking on me, I had had it. Until I stumbled across this at Ulta. It does exactly what I need- stays in place for a really long time. The color payoff is another wonderful attribute.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Champagne & LoracPRO Palette

I love a good eye primer, and the Too Faced ones never fail to disappoint. My mom handed this down to me after realizing she wasn’t going to use it. I freaking love it, it can be worn alone but sometimes I like putting light bronze on top of it.

LoracPRO Mascara

I got this in a set of more LoracPRO things, but this is one of my favorites. It adds so much volume and definition to my lashes, which is expected when you see the want. My god, is it big. Sometimes bigger is better. I am so bad at describing why I like mascaras… someday.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick in Berry

This is something that I received in another set, and is the stand out star for me, and also the one I was most excited for. The color that you get from these is absolutely insane. You hardly need any and your lips look great. I did not find them super drying either and they seem to last a long time. 10/10, would recommend, and buy more!

There we have it! I am not sure if there will be a post on Saturday, we’ll just have to find it! I could probably do next Wednesday again but then I’ll just get all thrown off. To anyone amidst finals I wish you luck! Especially if you’re reading this 😉
