May Favorites!

May Favorites!

Your favorite inconsistent blogger here back with a niche favorites. Honestly, they are the best posts to write and the main reason I’m writing this is because one of the products blew me away, and I was not expecting it. So! Let’s get into it.

Cover FX Calming Primer

My skin has done a complete 180 in the last few years. It has gone from incredibly oily to now dry, and often red. I picked this up for a pretty penny on a whim at Sephora and I’m really happy that I did. It’s a great primer that is true to its name in that it calms my skin. It is the perfect first step to your makeup routine and I can’t recommend it enough.

LORAC Pirates of the Caribbean Cheek Palette

If you guys didn’t know from my blog name, I’m a huge Disney fan. I’m also a huge makeup fan, obviously. So combine the two and what do you get? An empty wallet. I love this cheek palette and the fact that it combines highlighters, a blush and a bronzer. I’m going to New York later this summer and I will definitely be bringing this with me. I also might have already ordered the Beauty and the Beast eye shadow palette.. first impression anyone?

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Enchanted Dream Eye Shadow Palette

I placed a Feel Unique order a few weeks ago as I missed some London essentials, and decided to add this in my cart. I’ve always wanted to try her eye shadows as I’m such a big fan of the cheek palette. I’m really happy I did. The quality is amazing for the price. When I’m just running out the door/don’t want anything to fancy I just put Cocoa Plum all over my lid and call it a day. It looks really pretty on its own or mixed with the colors in the palette.

Maybelline Master Fix Setting Spray

This something I picked up after I had run out of my Milani spray- they don’t sell it in my local shops 😦 I’m glad I tried this one though because I do like it a lot and it’s almost empty. When I use a setting spray, I like to feel it spray on my face. Maybe that’s weird? This does that and I think it does a damn good job of making my makeup last longer. I feel incomplete when I don’t finish my makeup with a spritz of a setting spray.

EcoTools Makeup Brush Shampoo

You haven’t blogged in 3 months and you’re putting a brush shampoo in your favorites? Listen, the first time I used this I had little to no expectations. I followed the directions on the back of the bottle and let my brushes dry. When I picked them up the next day to use them, I was absolutely blown away. Not only were they squeaky clean, they were also as soft as the day I bought them. This is something that now sits on my bathroom counter because it is that good.

That’s a wrap for now folks! I promise I’ll try to blog more. I’m going to a Once Upon a Time event this weekend and I’m Disney bounding each day so maybe I’ll do a post with how to get the looks. That could be fun. Tell me- what were your May favorites and what do I need to try?

November Favorites!

November Favorites!

Hello There!

Took a little bit of a break, didn’t I? Oops… so sorry about that! Alas it is the week before finals, and that is where all my energy is going, totally not just marathoning Once Upon a Time on Netflix. That should be one of my favorites, I’m obsessed. So, this is later than I would’ve liked but I’ve just been so damn busy, but I guess that’s the college life. It feels great to write like me rather than super academic-y.

Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Deep

I am just going to come right out and say that this is a miracle product for me. I have really sparse eyebrows in places, and this just fills them right in. This always works with what ever eyebrow product is put under it. All around great product.

Urban Decay All Nighter Eyeliner

I am always on the search of an eyeliner for my waterline. After my Smashbox one repeatedly breaking on me, I had had it. Until I stumbled across this at Ulta. It does exactly what I need- stays in place for a really long time. The color payoff is another wonderful attribute.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Champagne & LoracPRO Palette

I love a good eye primer, and the Too Faced ones never fail to disappoint. My mom handed this down to me after realizing she wasn’t going to use it. I freaking love it, it can be worn alone but sometimes I like putting light bronze on top of it.

LoracPRO Mascara

I got this in a set of more LoracPRO things, but this is one of my favorites. It adds so much volume and definition to my lashes, which is expected when you see the want. My god, is it big. Sometimes bigger is better. I am so bad at describing why I like mascaras… someday.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick in Berry

This is something that I received in another set, and is the stand out star for me, and also the one I was most excited for. The color that you get from these is absolutely insane. You hardly need any and your lips look great. I did not find them super drying either and they seem to last a long time. 10/10, would recommend, and buy more!

There we have it! I am not sure if there will be a post on Saturday, we’ll just have to find it! I could probably do next Wednesday again but then I’ll just get all thrown off. To anyone amidst finals I wish you luck! Especially if you’re reading this 😉
