May Favorites!

Your favorite inconsistent blogger here back with a niche favorites. Honestly, they are the best posts to write and the main reason I’m writing this is because one of the products blew me away, and I was not expecting it. So! Let’s get into it.

Cover FX Calming Primer

My skin has done a complete 180 in the last few years. It has gone from incredibly oily to now dry, and often red. I picked this up for a pretty penny on a whim at Sephora and I’m really happy that I did. It’s a great primer that is true to its name in that it calms my skin. It is the perfect first step to your makeup routine and I can’t recommend it enough.

LORAC Pirates of the Caribbean Cheek Palette

If you guys didn’t know from my blog name, I’m a huge Disney fan. I’m also a huge makeup fan, obviously. So combine the two and what do you get? An empty wallet. I love this cheek palette and the fact that it combines highlighters, a blush and a bronzer. I’m going to New York later this summer and I will definitely be bringing this with me. I also might have already ordered the Beauty and the Beast eye shadow palette.. first impression anyone?

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Enchanted Dream Eye Shadow Palette

I placed a Feel Unique order a few weeks ago as I missed some London essentials, and decided to add this in my cart. I’ve always wanted to try her eye shadows as I’m such a big fan of the cheek palette. I’m really happy I did. The quality is amazing for the price. When I’m just running out the door/don’t want anything to fancy I just put Cocoa Plum all over my lid and call it a day. It looks really pretty on its own or mixed with the colors in the palette.

Maybelline Master Fix Setting Spray

This something I picked up after I had run out of my Milani spray- they don’t sell it in my local shops ūüė¶ I’m glad I tried this one though because I do like it a lot and it’s almost empty. When I use a setting spray, I like to feel it spray on my face. Maybe that’s weird? This does that and I think it does a damn good job of making my makeup last longer. I feel incomplete when I don’t finish my makeup with a spritz of a setting spray.

EcoTools Makeup Brush Shampoo

You haven’t blogged in 3 months and you’re putting a brush shampoo in your favorites? Listen, the first time I used this I had little to no expectations. I followed the directions on the back of the bottle and let my brushes dry. When I picked them up the next day to use them, I was absolutely blown away. Not only were they squeaky clean, they were also as soft as the day I bought them. This is something that now sits on my bathroom counter because it is that good.

That’s a wrap for now folks! I promise I’ll try to blog more. I’m going to a Once Upon a Time event this weekend and I’m Disney bounding each day so maybe I’ll do a post with how to get the looks. That could be fun. Tell me- what were your May favorites and what do I need to try?

Valentine’s Day \\ The Look

Ah, the best day of the year for single people – Valentine’s Day.

To me, this has and always will be a Hallmark holiday that I do not care to celebrate whether or not I have a boyfriend.¬†Thought I’d do a little tutorial for all the non-believers/Valentine’s lovers. I’ll be waiting for the candy sale on the 15th.

Here’s my 10 step tutorial for V-Day.

Step 1: A dark smoky eye to accurately reflect the color of your soul

Step 2: Cat Eyes to foreshadow that you’ll become a crazy cat lady

Step 3: Waterproof mascara for when you realize that literally all of your friends have significant others

Step 4: Full coverage concealer to hide your true feelings

Step 5: Sharp contour to show that you¬†aren’t to be messed with

Step 6: A strong brow to show that you are a strong woman

Step 7: Highlighter because you need more men to notice you

Step 8: A dark, vampy lip because lord knows you’re not making out with anyone

Step 9: Setting spray to make your makeup last until you find a man, better hope it’ll keep your makeup on for years

August Favorites!

August Favorites!

Hello Lovelies!

With another month, comes another favorites! These might also be my favorite things to write, though I don’t know why. I hope that with September all of you are settling in nicely to school/work, and whatever else. Lets all have a fantastic month, shall we? I think these are all new products but they might have been used in previous posts, so lets get into it!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser in Neutralizer

Well I finally have hopped on this train haven’t I. I heard one of my favorite bloggers, vloggers, Essiebutton, rave on about this. Let me tell you it does not disappoint. It really is a great concealar and brightens up the under eye area. I would highly recommend trying this.

The Body Shop Flawless BB Cream in 02

After this summer you’d think that The Body Shop was sponsoring my blog, their not, but that’d be wicked. I’ve just only discovered them for the first time recently and I am obssessed. Like many others, on this humid days, I don’t want to put on a full face of foundation. This is the best happy-medium. It still covers wonderfully but does not feel heavy on the face in the slightest. I love the finish that this BB cream gives, check it out, yo.

Ulta Gel Eyeliner in Black Out

This was something I picked up on a whim when they had that deal for a free bag with more makeup. I am always in the search of new eyeliners to try and I am so awful at doing gel eyeliner with a little pot and brush. I really like using this on my waterline because I find that it lasts longer. It doesn’t have the greatest staying power but I’m trying to figure out a way around that.

Ulta Super Stretch Fiber Mascara in Jet Black

This was another Ulta product and I believe that it was in the free bag. If you regularly read my blog, you probably wouldn’t know that I’m not the biggest mascara fan. I’m fortunate to already have long lashes, but I like to use mascara to make them a little more dramatic and darker. This is the perfect mascara for that. I have never been so instantly impressed by a mascara, but I think this may be my new life go-to.

Too Face Natural Eyes Palette

Let me tell you a story about this. One day, I ¬†finally decided that I was going to go to Ulta and pick this up. You know that feeling of anticipation and how it just feels awesome to go to a store and buy something? Well, they didn’t have it when I went. So sadly I never got that satisfactory feeling and ended up buying it online. All worth it ¬†thought, because this is my favorite palette. I love the browns and pinks it has. It is so pigmented. There are so many combos and it just looks wonderful, whatever you may choose. When I go somewhere, I’ve been only brining this palette, and let me tell you, that’s hard for me, but it has yet to fail me.

Well, there’s a long winded august favorites for you all! I feel like it has been awhile since I have just sat down and wrote, without having it all planned.¬†I hope that you’ve enjoyed and see ya next week!

Affordable First Day Look | Back To School // 3

Affordable First Day Look | Back To School // 3

Hello lovelies!

We are just flying through this week aren’t we? One thing I know that I and a lot of other people look for when going back to school are affordable things that still make you look put together. So today, I thought I would do my interpretation of that!

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 in Soft Honey // 11.29

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder & ELF Powder Brush // 4.99 & 3.00

Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige // 4.49

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black // 9.99

NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee // 4.99

So the outfit idea I had, was to pickup a simple black top from the dollar store or target or something or the sort. Then to add a little something to it, I picked up the long locket necklace from H&M for 5.95. I really love the simplicity of this and I think it ties it all together. My jeans I have had for a few years from Forever 21, places like that or H&M usually have reasonably priced items. I just need to throw on some flip-flops and I will be on my way!

I realize that this is still pretty expensive, but I just went through what I already had. I tried to choose the cheapest option. I really wanted to use the 3 in 1 which is a little pricey, and I just really enjoy Maybellines gel eyeliner.

Most Wanted

Most Wanted

Do you ever have those things you seen in the store that you like and always go back to but never actually buy? I’m talking have been eyeing up for nearly a year. A few days ago I bought 4 of these things.

#1 Aladdin Glass Jar Beverage Dispenser

Oh hey, the first and only non-beauty item. I’ve been looking at this practically since they came out earlier in the springs. I think they are really cute and a fun cute way to spruce up a jar. I recently moved into my own place so I finally have purpose for something like this. It is still untouched but I am thinking about putting lemon and mint with water in this bad boy. It’ll spice up just plain water, which I am honestly not that big of a fun of, strange right?

#2 Maybelline Nail Polish in Green With Envy

Honestly this was a toss-up between this and those cute little Revlon nail polishes that are scented. I probably would’ve gotten one of those but the colors that were there did not suit my fancy. I have also been looking for a minty-ish green for a while because I am in love with that color and I think it is perfect for summer. I’ve used this nail polish before and remember really liking it but it was definitely the color that I was pining after.

#3 theBalm Smoke Balm Eyeshadow Palette in Set One

This little guy was spotted in Kohl’s one day. I had been thinking about how to do a smokey eye for a while and then stumble upon this. I love the colors that it is, there is excellent payoff. I also like that it is super mini so it is easy to bring along. The best part may be the directions on the back though. This girls clueless when it comes to stuff like this and they are oh so helpful. I love how it looks on and now I am just in need of an occasion to wear smokey eyeshadow too. This is probably my fav purchase of the bunch.

#4 Covergirl Flamed Out Eye Pencil in Ginger Flame

What a strange name this one has. This is probably the product that really inspired this post. Whenever I went to any store with Covergirl products, I would quite literally always pick this up and stare at it. I love the color that it is and it was super attractive because of how easy it is to apply. I really love this pencil, the color is super pretty out of the case as well. It is one of those products that you throw on your face and go super quickly. Highly recommend.
