Your favorite inconsistent blogger here back with a niche favorites. Honestly, they are the best posts to write and the main reason I’m writing this is because one of the products blew me away, and I was not expecting it. So! Let’s get into it.
Cover FX Calming Primer
My skin has done a complete 180 in the last few years. It has gone from incredibly oily to now dry, and often red. I picked this up for a pretty penny on a whim at Sephora and I’m really happy that I did. It’s a great primer that is true to its name in that it calms my skin. It is the perfect first step to your makeup routine and I can’t recommend it enough.
LORAC Pirates of the Caribbean Cheek Palette
If you guys didn’t know from my blog name, I’m a huge Disney fan. I’m also a huge makeup fan, obviously. So combine the two and what do you get? An empty wallet. I love this cheek palette and the fact that it combines highlighters, a blush and a bronzer. I’m going to New York later this summer and I will definitely be bringing this with me. I also might have already ordered the Beauty and the Beast eye shadow palette.. first impression anyone?
Tanya Burr Cosmetics Enchanted Dream Eye Shadow Palette
I placed a Feel Unique order a few weeks ago as I missed some London essentials, and decided to add this in my cart. I’ve always wanted to try her eye shadows as I’m such a big fan of the cheek palette. I’m really happy I did. The quality is amazing for the price. When I’m just running out the door/don’t want anything to fancy I just put Cocoa Plum all over my lid and call it a day. It looks really pretty on its own or mixed with the colors in the palette.
Maybelline Master Fix Setting Spray
This something I picked up after I had run out of my Milani spray- they don’t sell it in my local shops 😦 I’m glad I tried this one though because I do like it a lot and it’s almost empty. When I use a setting spray, I like to feel it spray on my face. Maybe that’s weird? This does that and I think it does a damn good job of making my makeup last longer. I feel incomplete when I don’t finish my makeup with a spritz of a setting spray.
EcoTools Makeup Brush Shampoo
You haven’t blogged in 3 months and you’re putting a brush shampoo in your favorites? Listen, the first time I used this I had little to no expectations. I followed the directions on the back of the bottle and let my brushes dry. When I picked them up the next day to use them, I was absolutely blown away. Not only were they squeaky clean, they were also as soft as the day I bought them. This is something that now sits on my bathroom counter because it is that good.
That’s a wrap for now folks! I promise I’ll try to blog more. I’m going to a Once Upon a Time event this weekend and I’m Disney bounding each day so maybe I’ll do a post with how to get the looks. That could be fun. Tell me- what were your May favorites and what do I need to try?
